The Story of: Tuft, a vase for weeds. Stage one.

It started life as a bit of a weed itself.
Take one above, after I lost patience with it.

Take two. Yuk.
Looks more like a fennel bulb than a tuft of cartoon grass.
So some research on plastic toy animals and their grassy surrounds.......

... then take three! By jove I think you've got it!
You may spy the plastic animal inspiration in the background.
This is the model ready for casting in plaster, then I need to make an inner 'well' and cast the stand.
I will explain later.

Test Tree....

When this came out of the kiln I thought "ugh patchy yuk".
I spent time looking at it, placing it in various locations, putting greenery in it, I wasn't sold.
Then I bought it home. I put Billy Balls in it!
And while this particular finish may not make it into production, its not bad.
Test Tree Number One has found a home, glaze faults and all, in the lounge.
....for the time being.

Pebble vase.

These are only little, good for a stem or two.
They're a bit like a pair of puppets feet.....I think.

See tree. Made by me.

Little cartoon tree vase!
These are the first few pours drying slowly in the winter weather.
I think they will be coloured. A funny cartoon forest of coloured trees.
